Toys Aren’t Us

I love for things to be organized.  Who doesn’t?   I am always trying to organize things.  I’m one of those people who needs a system for survival.  If my creative side were in charge my house would be a permanent wreck. 

Life with two small kids is messy.  Plain fact.  Sometimes you have to make a big ol’ mess to have fun.  Totally fine.   However, the mess does not always have to rule your house.  

I have learned that toys multiply.  Fast.  We had zero toys three years ago which is really almost laughable now. We are lucky enough to have a play room upstairs where the big toys go. However, downstairs in the family room is really where the bulk of our day is spent.

There are LOTS of toys to play with – you just don’t see them – at least when they are put away.

Enter the storage system from PB Kids.  The best furniture investment I’ve ever made. Ever. Period. Would I have ever spent that kind of money on storage for our playroom?  No, probably not.  However, this is in our main living area and I wanted it to hold up & look nice.  It has been well worth the cost.  I changed up the knobs to make it a little more furniture-like.

I love that it doesn’t look like it came from a kids store.  It belongs in the room.  I’ve thought of adding bun feet which would really dress it up but I’m still undecided.
