Donna at Funky Junk Interiors wrote a post about front doors today which inspired me to share mine.
If I could pick any front door it would be a craftsman style with little windows stained a shade of walnut.

Wait.
Whoa?
They cost how much????
Umm… yeah.
Some day.
So for now I took our plain white front door (no before pic-sorry) & turned it into this…

I used brown glaze to give the door an antique look. Dark bronze numbers dress it up (Got them @ Home Depot). The dragonfly door knocker is the focal point and my favorite part of the makeover. It is amazing how many compliments I get on it! I still prefer the craftsman door but this one will do for now.

So pretty and classic!
I love your front door. I don’t think you need the craftsman one. Love the dragonfly knocker too.
YOur door is amazing! It is classy yet old world….makes you want to go inside!
Found your blog from Funky Junk. LOVE your front door! Your door-knocker is total cuteness! My “ideal” door would be the same Craftsman one you showed a pic of! Love that look! Have to agree with you on the cost, though. Sooooo expensive!
Thanks for visiting. Yes, I too am a NC blogger. I live in Greensboro. Love your front door. Very pretty!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
OH yes, and I would like a front door exactly like that…..”Honey!!!”
