Dear Friends,
Oh, how I have missed you all! Today marks almost two weeks without the internet. Apparently, our new house wasn’t wired for cable. It is some weird anomaly that the cable man hadn’t seen in his 11 years as the cable guy. I’m no technology genius but when the technician say that it does not bode well. This is not a new house either which makes it even more strange.
We have been investigating other options for internet but it seems that a lot of internet carriers don’t have coverage in our area. We can get the cable but it requires a lot of digging, an electrician doing extensive work, and at least a couple months of waiting. Sounds like fun, right?! Thank goodness Mr. C is a satellite TV fan. We wouldn’t want to miss Big Brother!
My new plan is to write my posts offline as much as I can and then to go to a wireless hotspot to schedule them.
Any ideas on internet? Do you all use a cable carrier? DSL anyone? A wireless card of some sort??

Have you tried ATT U-Verse?
Man that sucks. We have a MiFi device through Verizon that allows us to get online anywhere (that you have reception which is most everywhere with Verizon). It’s $30a month for a certain amount of data. I don’t remember the details on that but it’s something to look into. I’m sure other carriers have them too if you’re not with Verizon. Good luck!
I have the Verizon “air card” too. I have the $30/mo plan too, but you can get more data for more $$ too. They no longer offer unlimited usage. You have to be careful about downloading updates to your computer and streaming video or music from the internet. Those things use up your data usage in a HURRY!
