Two Story Cottage

Silver Sage Master Bath Update

Dear Friends,
It’s official.  We own two houses.  Yikes!  Hopefully, we will only own two houses for about two weeks.  Our closing on the new house was postponed due to a leaking water heater.  High drama I tell ya.  It is a good thing we weren’t moving in yet! I can’t wait to fill you in on that story but it is worthy of a whole post. I promise I’ll take some pics of the new place – I can’t wait to get in there and actually get a feel for everything now that it is empty.

Alright, back to our current house. One of the first things we had to take care of in order to get the house on the market was our bathroom.  Remember this post about the forgotten master bath?

BEFORE
Yes, those are retainers.  Eww.  Forgive me.
AFTER

Much better, huh?  It is amazing what a little spackle and paint can do.  Easy peasy and yet another project that did not get finished until we had a deadline.  Sigh!
Our master bath is painted Silver Sage by Restoration Hardware.  I love the color in there because it goes so well with the dark cabinets.  I am considering Silver Sage in the new house because there are lots of dark cabinets.  I can’t decide because I love it paired with dark furniture and white trim but I feel like something more neutral would work better with all of my accessories, many of which are colorful.
Thoughts on Silver Sage, anyone?

  1. Hmm, I say try it~ at least in a room or two. The worst that can happen is you decide you don’t like it and you can repaint. :D

  2. I like the color. I agree with Heidiopia, try it and see what unfolds. Looking forward to seeing pics of the new house! http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/
