Our holiday home tour starts outside. Seriously.
With the house next door. That picture doesn’t even do it justice. So, if you are going to be coming inside my house you have to go by there first to get here…
Colored lights are the way to go when you live next to real life Candy Land. We don’t mind and quite frankly it has been fun. We knew what we were getting into when we moved. In fact, we did the drive-by at least 7 or 8 times last year not knowing that we were driving right by our future house.
Decorating our new house for Christmas has been a challenge. I keep shifting things around but I’m finally content with the current state of affairs. I have a running list of things I’d like to do in the future though.

Our impossible to get pictures of catwalk garland – one side was white, gold & silver to match the front of the house and the other side was full of red & green to go with the more fun family room & kitchen.

Are you kidding, girl? I’m still not finished–and at this point, I don’t think I’m going to finish. I think I’m just going to enjoy what’s already up and forget about the rest–including the tree that’s only got ornaments on the top two-thirds of the branches! My boys never did get interested in putting their ornaments on the tree this year. Who knows? Maybe they’ll put some on tomorrow. Or maybe our tree will just look like the tree of people with a toddler.

FINISHED!!! Well my house looks like I never really started besides having a tree. We don’t own many house decorations and I just love looking at all the ones on blogs and having a little decorating ENVY LOL!!! Hopefully one Christmas, before my kids graduate high school, we will have it. Your home looks great.
