In the interest of finishing what I start, here is an overview of the china cabinet installation. The Akurum cabinets (Ikea) are really a cinch to put together. They are impressively sturdy as well.
I promised a picture of the china cabinet with the cherry cabinets so that you get an overall view of things. This is a true work in progress shot.
To Do:
- Rug under table
- Replace lighting over bar
- Replace pendant lighting
- Rug by sink
- New paint
- Ceiling Treatment
- New Window Treatments

I love your new cabinets–you did a great job on them and on the whole wall. They’ll look awesome with some crown moulding, too, but one step at a time. It’s going to be fun to see the “after” photos of your kitchen. Lots of people would love to have your kitchen the way it was when you moved in, of course, but it really is starting to look more like YOU–and that’s the way it should be!
Hey Erin. I spied your lovely new bar stools. Are those the ones from Ballard Designs? I have been wanting to order those but was worried they would be too gray in color. Could you post some better pictures of them? Thanks.
