Dear Friends,
Based on the last two weeks, I think that 2012 might be a year of comedy in our household. The “ha, ha funny” kind as well as the “joke is on you” sort that seems funnier after the fact. Throw in some four year old humor and we will be laughing our way through the next several months.
Star of the Week
Last week, Lacey was the star of the week at school. It was finally her turn to make a special “all about me” poster. Well, the night before the big day I put her masterpiece in the hallway near the door so we wouldn’t forget. As if she’d let me forget. It seems that during the night the poster slid from the wall to the floor where it was then christened by my dog. In the nearly ten years we have had K.C, she has never expressed her penchant for purple poster board. Who knew? Most people spent the first morning back to school fixing lunches. I spent it with febreeze and a hairdryer. I hope that is not a sign of things to come.
California is Where?
For Christmas, we gave Lacey a set of hard-to-find Berenstain Bear figures from ebay because she adores the books and dvds. I told her that the bear family had come all the way from California. She then replied, “California? Which aisle of Target is that?”
Four Year Old Math
Lacey told me over Christmas that she wants lots of kids when she is a Mommy. Four in fact. Tommy, Elle, Hailey, and Mark. I told her that she could have four but Mommy was really happy with two kids and that was all we would probably have. To which she said, “No, Mommy you have three kids.” Quite emphatically I might add. ”Don’t forget Daddy!”
From the mouths of babes – they speak the truth, do they not?

Awesome stuff. I think they make us laugh as hard as they can make us want to pull our hair out. Hilarious.
Thanks for the chuckle.
Preschool and kindergarten teachers must come home with the funniest kid-isms.
Have a great weekend.
