Dear Friends,
I made it back from Blissdom in one piece! With a road trip and the whirlwind that is a blog conference I was just hoping to return with my faculties intact. I am proud of myself this year because I really stretched my comfort zone. I attended nearly everything and talked more than I have in the last year.
Y’all know that I get sapped by that degree of social interaction but it was worth the little bit of pushing. I made some great new friends, learned some valuable life & blogging lessons, and felt like a new mama ready to tackle my real job upon returning.
Brittany (Pretty Handy Girl) picked me up and we drove to Knoxville where we spent the night with Sandra (Sawdust & Paperscraps). Have you seen her closet? It is even more amazing in person.

It was really fun to spend time at Sandra’s house after seeing it online. She & her family were excellent hosts & made us feel right at home. Brittany was a great driver which was a blessing because I can be an anxious passenger. I was as comfortable with her as I am with Mr. C.
I came away from Blissdom with specific goals for my blog.
1) Revamp my facebook page and interact more with my readers.
2) Learn a new skill this year (photoshop? photography? sewing?)
3) Renew my Catalog Thursday series because I had good feedback on that.
4) Investigate advertising further.
Special thanks to all the photographers who let me borrow pictures! You know who you are.
The kids did great while I was gone which helped ease the worry of leaving them. I’m uber happy to be back though! Dorothy was right, there is no place like home.
