Dear Friends,
Remember my fly-by trip to the mall? On my way out I snuck in Crate & Barrel. I was heading to my car but the stroller had a mind of its own. Reid was begging to go. Or maybe he was still high off of his first mall cookie. Regardless we perused both floors in record time.
Echelon Console Table
I really like this table because of the 8 inch depth. I’d love it behind our sofa.
The $499 price is too steep but I’ll keep an eye on it in case of a major discount.
This reclaimed wood structure caught my eye. What an interesting element for a room!
$99.95
Jules Accent Tables
These tables have an elegant antique mirrored surface.
Price for two $549
Small $249
Large $349
I took a picture as inspiration for Reid’s room. Hello, gorgeous.
The price tag for the Atwood Tall Chest? $2,499. I almost dropped my phone and ran.
Grid Umbrella Stand
Good lines on this unique umbrella stand. $89.95
Maybe I spent too much time on the second floor, but I walked away with a case of sticker shock. Quality costs more but I’m not making an investment in furniture unless I’m certain I will keep it foralmostever. The items from the Best Buys catalog are more in line with my budget.
I saw a bride-to-be registering and I wanted to wrestle her gun away. Can I get a do-over? On the registry of course, not the husband. Mr. C is a keeper.

I am so in love with Crate and Barrel and with that foyer table!! It would be perfect for our foyer because it is super narrow. I am going to have to check it the next time I visit.
Stopping by to say I am new to your blog. I am so in love with your home. Looking forward to following along in your decoration journey.
Take care!
Karen
Love Crate and Barrel but not the price tags! Check out CB2, same company but little better prices. Love your blog!
You made me laugh with this post Erin!!! I think you and I had the same stroller…. mine also used to veer madly towards home decor shops all the time!! Loved the console table. So versatile… lol x
Cute post, Erin! Love it when people can do a decor post that includes a chuckle or two! : )
Oh, and pretty much any retail home decor store gives me major sticker shock every time I go in.
That’s why I stick with Goodwill. ; )
No sticker shock. Just lots of grime. But that’s what soap and water were invented for…right?
Thanks for following along with my blog! I’m doing the same!
Hi there, Erin! I am new to your blog! I love your home and your style. That console table is amazing!
Just recently did some Crate & Barrel home decor shopping myself! I love that chest, but despise its price tag. The next time I move, I want to buy furniture that’s more “natural.” I have done the whole modern thing, but at the end of the day, I think the best decor for all houses is natural and green.
