Dining Room Update

Dear Friends,
Happy Heart Day!  Mine began with a load of laundry just like most days but it was followed by surprise coffee and cinnamon rolls.  That Mr. C is a keeper I tell you.  He knows the way to my heart anyway.  The tummy bug has struck poor Reid but the rest of us are soldiering on with cupcake baking and Valentine making while he rests in front of the television for the first time in his little life.  Not because I’m anti-TV but because he is anti-rest.  He sleeps like a champ but is wide open when awake.  Little boys are busy little beings.

I was tickled pink with all the comments on the blog the last few days.  You guys certainly know how to make a girl feel special!

Yes, I’m getting to the dining room update.  After Christmas, I decided I couldn’t part with the sparkly Peacock feather wreath so I created a new home for it.  I ended up bringing the “old door” into the dining room and I was sold.  The door leaning against the wall with peacock bling?  Yes, ma’am.

Yes, that “then” picture is terribly out of focus.  Makes for a better “now” I suppose.
The door is a keeper because it doesn’t block the wall vent.

I couldn’t resist a handful of dining room pictures because I finally realized that late afternoon is my window for good light.  No pun intended.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

  3. Oh my goodness, I just stumbled upon your blog this morning via The Lettered Cottage & now I may never leave!! ;) I have to tell you that your home is the exact picture of my ideal dream home that I have in my head. Craftsman touches, all of that stone work, the gorgeous wood stained shutters. Yes, yes & yes PLEASE!! Do you by any chance know who the builder was??

We live in Virginia & I also write a blog with my best friend. We lean more towards lifestyle & beauty, but home decor blogs are where my heart really lies. I love yours SO much so far & I have SO much more to read!!

Looks like you live in the Charlotte area? My sister lives there. If I could pick up & move anywhere right now, it would be to Charlotte. We love it down there!

Sorry for the lengthy comment! Just wanted to say hi & introduce myself. If you happen to know the builder’s name, that’d be great. If not then I’ll continue my home plan search to find something as close to your home as possible!! :)

It’s super nice to “meet” you! Have a great day!

    • Thanks for your awesome comment! I will definitely come check out your blog. Thanks for the house love – we kept flipping houses until we landed our “dream house.” The builder was a Charlotte area custom home builder that is now out of business so I’m not sure if that would help or not but I’d be glad to message you the name. We were the second owners so we didn’t actually design the house at all.

We <3 Charlotte too! Thanks so much for coming over.

    • I’m going to shoot you an e-mail… ;)
