Dear Friends,
Busy comes in waves at our house. And we have gone from tidal pool to tsunami in the last week.
My mom had her birthday; she is 59 years young. A new baby nephew arrived a little ahead of schedule which called for a trip to Greenville, SC. My friend Melissa (of the unexpected gift) had her daughter’s 3rd birthday at the Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, NC. We weren’t about to miss strawberry picking with Lacey’s friends from school. Oh, and the temperature dropped about 30 degrees just to make things interesting.
Instagram is the first bit of social media that I truly enjoy. I have expressed my hate-hate relationship with Facebook. I do love blogging but I don’t have a lot to say on Twitter or the accompanying social media outlets. Instagram allows me to capture little moments without having to say much of anything. I no longer have to be “that Mom who forgot her camera.” Now, I don’t know if it is worth a billion dollars but the pictures are priceless.
Are you on instagram? Do you have a favorite filter? Special tricks?
P.S. I’m twostorycottage if you are an instagrammer.

I’ll have to follow you on Instagram! I’m Kias4. By the way, we just went to Lazy 5 Ranch on Easter weekend! It was really neat.
I also love Instagram. I’ve started taking pics in camera+ app, applying some filters there, and then importing in Instagram. I always choose filters based on how they make the image look and what I’m going for – I don’t have a particular filter I always use.
Lazy 5 is crazy, huh??
I never considered the camera+ thing but that does allow you to pick and choose a little more what goes on your feed. And it has great filters. Good call – I’ll have to experiment!!
Thanks, Kara!
My mom will be so impressed that her cake made it to your blog!
Melissa
I love IG and believe we already follow one another. It’s do much fun and a great way to share pictures.
You flattered me with the cake entry
