Burlap & Neutrals, Oh My {Seasonal Vignettes}

Dear Friends,
    Last year was a “big shebang” kind of Christmas.  This year?  Not so much.  And I’m okay with that.  Tis the season of life and all.  With a new dog and a two year old little brother, ours hands are full. We are a merry house even if it isn’t decorated from head to toe.

The family room is staying neutral which I’m really enjoying.  Sometimes all of that red & green makes me twitchy.

The burlap trees were from Target last year.  I got those birds at JoAnn’s this year and added the ribbon.

Simple, huh?  There is something to be said for that sometimes.

Stay tuned for our tree which is a prime example of tacky over-decorating goodness.  Forget neutrals and soothing tones.  It looks likes Christmas exploded.  And then some.  Be very afraid.

I’m joining Rhoda’s Vignette Party over at Southern Hospitality.  Won’t you join the fun?

  1. SO pretty! Your neutrals are all soothing but still very Christmasy–I like that. And I look forward to seeing your exploding tree. :)

  2. Hi, Erin! Merry CHristmas, so glad you joined the party. I love neutrals too and they definitely have their place in my house as well. Your decor is beautiful and serene and sometimes that is the best. Merry Christmas to you, sweet friend!

  3. Lots of neutrals around our house this year, as well. Love your nativity scene.

  4. I love the simplicity of what you did. Look beautiful.
