I haven’t made any home decor purchases since Christmas but the streak is broken. I ordered a little rug for the kitchen on Joss & Main. I have a weakness for pears and I couldn’t say no when I saw the $20-something price tag.
I have been looking for an attractive rug for that spot to cushion my feet while doing dishes. Oh, and it helps with all of the splashing from the sink as well.
As you can see, we have not replaced the faucet yet. It seems stinky to spend money on something less pretty. Of course, the lack of function may do me in soon. It is fine as long as we don’t use the sprayer, but with a sink that size you have to use a pitcher to wash things down.
When taking pictures of the sink a few weeks ago for the faucet-whining post, I noticed that my soap was mismatched & ugly. I’m always talking about decorating details but sometimes you overlook them in the everyday. And in this case, my new matching sink products look a thousand times better with very little effort required. I dug that silver tray out of the dining room. Yes, I know it could use polishing but I’m partial to the patina of the worn silver. I also like that I can keep the counter spray within reach and lock up the cabinet under the sink.
Now, for those dishes. These pictures were taken with a sink full. Thankfully, the farmhouse tub does a good job of hiding them!
