Dear Friends,
I’m trying to post more of the process of putting a room together rather than just the final product. After all, I’m learning so it is only fair to share the stages that happen before the final ta-da. Reid’s room feels “finished” because the paint is complete. Furniture and accessories are no longer haphazardly placed in the room. That being said, there are still a lot of details that need to happen for the complete cohesive look that I want.
That is the big boy bed that we have been talking about for a few months now. He loves feeling like a grown-up. I’ve got a post planned with the details of bed shopping because it was quite a process.
The nightstand is an old side table that we held on to. I’m thinking it needs a little makeover.
That bed needs a pillow or two for sure. And apparently I need to wash the duvet. I’m pleased with the colors and the way it blends with the paint. It was a clearance purchase from Land of Nod.
I’m shopping for new drawer pulls for the trundle and the nightstand drawer. I’d like the look to be closer to the mid-century dresser. A new rug is a consideration but it would have to be cheap. I will wait to see if I happen upon anything.
The picture is a charcoal drawing that I did of our old dog, KC. Reid talks about her almost everyday so I thought he’d appreciate her looking over him.
I still have some work to do but it is coming right along!
If you missed it, I did a Part I reveal here.
